The first of type for the RAF and it entered service in 1958. Here the photographer points out a machine-gun barrel protruding from behind the wing struts and just above the stub wing. This may have been to do with the trial installation of ordnance hard points underneath the stub wings, for A&AEE evaluation, but which were never adopted. The aircraft was wrecked when it struck rising terrain and crashed while supply dropping at Mount Meru, Tanzania on 2 March 1961.

Here just recently converted from a Series 1 aircraft. The name carried on the side was in anticipation of a sale to that company based in Milan, Italy. However this did not came about so was replaced by 'Scottish Aviation' for the Farnborough Air Show in September as here. Delivered to Australian Iron & Steel as VH-AIS in 1961 and still registered under different ownership in 2021.

Entered service in 1954, struck off charge in 1972 and scrapped at Larkhill Ranges in 1974.

Ex Pan American and here on delivery to Spantax where it became EC-AQB. Later to Aeroflete then withdrawn from use in 1974. At this period aircraft new to the register initially wore the letter 'W' in place of the 'A'. This only worked up to EC-AZZ without duplicating allocations which is probably why the EC-### system later came into use.

Delivered in July 1959 and served until the airline merged with British United one month after this photo date. Sold to Arkia Israeli Airlines in 1970 as 4X-AVD and scrapped at Castle Donnington (EGNX) by 1983.

Originally a Mk11Av aircraft that was converted to Mk21. The aircraft was scrapped at Southend, Essex May 1965.
