First flown at Hurn 14 October 1958, delivered to SAA as ZS-CDU 28 October. Ca 1962 repainted in the first orange tail livery first introduced with the 707s in 1960. September 1971 retired and stored at JNB. To British Midland January 1972 as G-AZLR, leased to Cyprus Airways 1975. Retired June 1982 at EMA where it became a fire trainer, scrapped by 1997. Delivered 17 April 1945, later allotted maintenance serial 7711M. After serving as gate guardian at West Malling, it performed similar duty at Leuchars before static use in 'The Battle of Britain' film in 1968. Thereafter it was gate guardian at Brawdy and was returned to the air in 1986, being delivered to the BBMF 24 March 1987.
