This early Bell 47 was built as a B model in 1947. Seen in Netherlands New Guinea, apparently operating on behalf of the NNGPM company. The operator was World Wide Helicopters in 1958 when the helo had an accident, still in NNG. Later to ZK-HAJ, VH-UTU, N415DP and still airworthy in the 21st century. Liquidated in 2019, Aigle Azur dated back to 1946 and acquired TWA's Boeing Stratoliner fleet in 1951. Formerly NC19905, F-BCEV still wears TWA fleet number 400. It appears the picture was taken during the 1955 Paris Air Show. The aircraft left for the Far East a few months later. It mysteriously disappeared over North Vietnam on 18 October 1964.
