In May 1950 helicopter flights were organized between London and the British Industries Fair (BIF) in Birmingham. A British Pathé newsreel shows G-ALIK with the same sign and reveals the London terminal to be Harrods Sports Ground. Harvard IIB of 613 (City of Manchester) Squadron, Royal Auxiliary Air Force at its Ringway base. It served the squadron as an advanced trainer from July 1947 until October 1953, being replaced by a Meteor T.7.

This Rapide was built by Brush in July 1945 for the RAF as NR843. It flew for Iraqi Airways as YI-ABG from January 1946 until late 1948. Operated by Melba Airways from their base at Manchester Ringway between September 1949 and sale in February 1952. Later EI-AMN, F-BLXX and N8053.

The sole Fairey FD1 research delta was assembled at Ringway and made its first test runs down the 4200 ft main runway. Transferred by Road to AAEE Boscombe Down for its first flight. Two other examples were ordered but cancelled.

Built for the RAF as NR779. After service with BEA, acquired by Island AS based at Croydon and used for pleasure flights from Heathrow North in the early 1950s.
