1946-built as G-AHJC. After service on the Berlin Airlift it was sold to ANA in September 1949 and named "Kiopana". Withdrawn in 1958 and broken up at Essendon in September 1961. Obtained from ANA 50 years ago.

FRL's Lancaster tanker was built in 1945 by Avro at Woodford as PB972 for the RAF. It was transferred to FRL in May 1949 and modified as a trials aircraft and is here seen over Poole Dorset whilst refuelling a Gloster Meteor F.3. From FRL 60 years ago.

The first Stratocruiser for AOA, N90941 was delivered to the airline on 13 June 1949. AOA merged into Pan Am on 25 September 1950. This aircraft was damaged beyond repair in a belly landing at Tokyo on 9 July 1959. This publicity photo of pax boarding into the lower deck was obtained from AOA over 60 years ago.

Built in March 1940 for American Airlines. Sold by AA to TTA in February 1949, serving until February 1969. Currently (2012) active as HB-IRJ.
