The beautiful "Baby Rocket" spending a cold and rainy night in Quito after it tried to depart earlier for Panama City, but it had to return to the cargo apron due to an engine #3 problem that, as you can see, they were working on when I took the picture. A really RARE sight at Latacunga. The first ever B738NG to have maintenance at the DIAF of LTX landing after a test flight to Guayaquil, just days before delivery to its new customer, FlySafair, just as I guessed it. After operating for Flair in Canada, it was ferried CYLS-KDTW-SELT from February 23rd to 24th, and the DIAF did an excellent job on this one. Soon we will have more B737NGs at Latacunga!! WELCOME HOME FAE-898!!! Historic moment in Ecuadorian aviation!!! Months of waiting, but finally the new member of the FAE arrived at SELT as RCH413, after a long trip from the OGMA workshops in Alverca, Portugal (LPAR), my second homeland. It flew LPAR-LPLA-CYHZ-KILG-KNIP-KNQX-SELT on delivery from March 18th to 21st. And after two incredible low passes it landed carrying two engines to the L-100 (FAE-893) that should have maintenance soon and fly alongside this C-130H. Donated by the US Government, ex USAF 74-1689 and Afghanistan Air Force 1689.

WELCOME HOME FAE-898!!! Historic moment in Ecuadorian aviation!!! Months of waiting, but finally the new member of the FAE arrived at SELT as RCH413, after a long trip from the OGMA workshops in Alverca, Portugal (LPAR), my second homeland. It flew LPAR-LPLA-CYHZ-KILG-KNIP-KNQX-SELT on delivery from March 18th to 21st. And after two incredible low passes it landed carrying two engines to the L-100 (FAE-893) that should have maintenance soon and fly alongside this C-130H. Here, receiving the water salute. Donated by the US Government, ex USAF 74-1689 and Afghanistan Air Force 1689.
