This aircraft has been stored in a hangar at White Waltham with its condition deteriorating for many years. It's last Certificate of Airworthiness expired in in July 1998 and it was cancelled from the British register by the CAA in May 2001.

Registration cancelled by the CAA on 3 May 2001, and stored at White Waltham, Berkshire.

Registration cancelled on 18 November 1974 as permanently withdrawn from use. After a long period of storage at Lasham it was eventually restored and displayed at The National Museum of Flight, East Fortune. It departed the Museum to Oaksey Park in early 2007 and moved on to France in February 2008 for a rebuild to flying condition. It was restored to the UK civil aircraft register on 18 July 2006, with a current "No Flight" declaration dated 15 March 2022.

For some reason the SAS colours had been applied to the cowling.

1938-built Miles Monarch at the 1955 National Air Races at Coventry. Served the RAF as X9306 in WW2. Now displayed at East Fortune. Hornet Moth G-AHBL in the background, plus two RAF Devons.
