The Erpsobungsgeschwader (Trials Wing) MiG-29 existed just in 1994. In 1995 the MiG-29 were tranferred to JG 73. Location needs confirmation. Photographer unknown

A nice old Piggy, in use as a ground instructional airframe.

This Me-163 was sabotaged while under construction by the forced labourers building it in Germany. A stone was found wedged next to the fuselage fuel tank and there was contaminated glue in the wing structure. Taken into service by JG 400 at Brandis around Aug 1944, it was captured by the British at Husum and shipped to Farnborough, then onwards to Canada. Loaned to the USAFM by the CNAM, Rockcliffe 1978-95 and to USAFM permanently in 1999. During restoration in Canada the inscriptions "Manufacture Ferme" (Plant closed) and "Mon coeur est en chomage" (My heart is not occupied) were discovered

Only extant Blitz of 224 built on display with HWK 109-500 Starthilfe pods at NASM Udvar-Hazy since 1989 after extensive restoration. The world's first jet bomber and recce aircraft flew on 15 Jun 1943, taking off from a jettisonable trolley and landing on skids. III./KG 76 commenced Ar-234 operations with attacks on Liège and Namuron 24 Dec 1944, flying its final missions near Berlin, Lübeck and Bremervörde in Apr-May 1945. This Blitz flew with 8./KG 76. It was flown to Sola by W. Kriessmann at end of war and captured by the British. Kriessmann visited his former aircraft twice at NASM.

Early morning take off in full afterburner of this Tornado from the local unit, JBG32.

This Tornado was given this special marking to commemorate 50 years of Tornado service in the Royal Air Force, Aeronautica Militare and the Luftwaffe (although the 50 Years sticker on the tail has now been removed). It was a very welcome static participant at Aviatická pouť 2025.
