Delivered in November 1988 as OO-LTB, and active until 2022, with Gomair (as 9S-ABJ), when its left main landing gear collapsed while landing at Kananga airport in the DRC, on 21 June 2022.

There are a couple of things I well recall about my visit to Guadeloupe; one was this colourful Fairchild, the other was the total dump of a hotel I overnighted in down by the docks - a scary experience... Initially an F27A N2776R with Pacific Air Lines in 3.64, this aircraft later went to UTA (F-BFQQ), Air Affaires Gabon (TR-LWB) and TAT (F-GBRR) before conversion to 'J' and moving to the Caribbean in 1.80. Into store at Dinard 1990 and allocated SE-KZF, F-GGZP but both ntu; derelict in the woods late 90s, scrapped

Ex French AF 38642 (derived from USAAF serial) and prior to that F-BEFF of Aigle Azur. Seen here being operated by Air Martinique. To N4550J in Oct 1983 and flown by Dodson International. Ended up in Russia in 2015, current status unclear.
