Mainliner Chicago was with United Airlines 1952 - 66 as a Convair 340 registered N73118. Sold to Lake Central Airlines, it was converted to a 580 When Lake Central merged with Allegheny Airlines in 1968, it was re-registered N5840. Sold to Great Lakes Airlines as C-GDTD in 1976 and rebranded Air Ontario in 1981. The aircraft was sold in 1987 as OO-VGH, operated by European Air Transport for DHL cargo services. Retired in 1991, it was scrapped at Brussels by 1994.

Mountain Air Cargo started local passenger commuter Sunbird Airlines in 1979. Sunbird acquired this Beech 99 in 1981. Sunbird returned it to Beechcraft Acceptance in 1985 (after Mountain Air sold the division in 1983 to Atlanta Express Airlines). Mountain Air leased N994SB 1986 - 90 before going to Exec Express Airlines (1990 - 91 (N175EE). Other operators include L'Express, Waglisla Airlines, Gulfstream International Airlines and Corporate Air. It's current with Bemidji Airlines since 2004 at the time of uploading.

In 1969 J. W. Fornof and his son John William "Corky" Fornof Jr formed the first civilian high performance aerobatic team with these two matching Grumman Bearcats. N700A was a G-58B civilian version of the Bearcat built by Grumman as a company demonstrator and flown by Roger Wolfe Kahn, manager of the technical service and sales division of the company. Fornof Sr's Bearcat (N7700C), seen parked behind, was former US Navy 121608 c/n 982. This aircraft crashed during a performance June 5, 1971 when a wing section separated due to metal fatigue.
