The Zlin Z-381, the Czechoslovak-built Bücker Bestmann, went by the name Fecske (Swallow) in Hungarian miilitary and paramilitary service. Avia-info.hu suggests that six airframes, HA-BUA through HA-BUF, were delivered directly to Magyar Honvéd Sportszövetség, the Hungarian Defence Sports Association, in 1949. Others were later transferred from the Hungarian air force, such as HA-BUL / 208 (c/n 251, ex I-201) and HA-BUM / 209 (c/n 252, ex I-202). Built in 1949, ex OK-ZFZ and D-EHUB. Registered in USA in 1981 and cancelled from the US register in October 2012 on sale to the Czech Republic. Beautifully restored and active based at Kroměříž in Czechia as OK-BSA at time of upload.

The Zlin Z-381 in Czechoslovak Air Force service was designated as the C-106 and used as a pilot trainer. This example is on display at the Letecké Muzeum Kbely in the markings it wore at the Aviation School Prostějov in the early 1950s. It then flew with the Praha Točná Aeroklub as OK-DJR and was eventually sold to a private individual before becoming part of the National Technical Museum. It was handed over to the Letecké Muzeum Kbely in 1968 andcompletely renovated before going on display.

There are very few airworthy examples of this 1940's built Zlin Z-381. This one was withdrawn from use around the time of this picture. Scanned from a slide. Built in 1947 and registered as OK-ASK from 17.07.1947 to 29.08.1958.

According to Scrambles 'Military Out of Service' this is former OK-DJR with no military history. It represents a 3 LSP machine in the Czech Air Force museum.
