Ex CCCP/RA-12972 (my 1993 photo here), D2-FCT, TN-AGK and ER-ACG. W/o at Heglig, Sudan in January 2010

Built for Aeroflot in 1969. Operated for United Nations in Africa in 1993 hence white colours here. To Komiavia in 1995 then to D2-FCT, TN-AGK, ER-ACG and lastly ST-AQQ in 2002. Damaged beyond repair landing while flown by El Magal Aviation when the left main gear and nose gear collapsed at Heglig, Sudan on 4th January 2010, ending up at right angles to runway

This An-12 was almost regarded as 'part of the inventory' at Sharjah at the time. The Antonov was parked here since at least May 2004 and would still be here until January 2007. It finaly returned back to Sudan to fly for El Magal Aviation which it did until 04 January 2010 when it was damaged beyond repair after a landing accident at Heglig, Sudan.

Reg painted under the wing. Delivered to Aeroflot as CCCP-12972 in 1969. Reregistered as 12972 then RA-12972 in 1993. To Komiavia in 1995 then to D2-FCT and TN-AGK in 2000. Back to D2-FCT then to ER-ACG in 2001 and ST-AQQ in 2002. Damaged beyond repair landing at Heglig, Sudan in 2010.

Has been standing here for a while, waiting for maintance gathering sand. Humidity did the rest.
