Carrying the number "57", seen in the parking area behind the Buffalo Airways hangar at Yellowknife Airport. In its 21st year as a member of the Buffalo Airways fleet, but with its active career as a freighter about to be terminated.

Here likely on an immigrant charter to Canada judging by the crowd of onlookers. Later it went to Buffalo Airways and believed to be out of service by 2021.

C-FIQM was considerably damaged while landing on an ice strip in March 1990, operated by Kenn Borek Air. They were not permitted to leave her to sink at the remote location, to protect the environment. She was recovered to Calgary, acquired by Joe McBryan and repaired in Tucson. In storage as shown for less than a year at the photo date, missing the #1 and #3 engines. For sale with 41,709.5 hours total time.

Operated by Aero Union. Later to Kenn Borek Air. Then in Feb 1992 to Buffalo Airways as C-FIQM. Seen stored (minus engines) at Hay River in 2019.

Built as US Air Force 45-0635, this C-54 has spent a lot of time in Canada. Leaving the USAF in 1956, the aircraft came to Canada as CF-IQM, flying for Wheeler Airlines and Nordair Canada. It went back to the USA as N4218S with Aero Union before returning to Canada as C-FIQM in 1988. Pictured after being recently acquired by Buffalo Airways in February 1992, the classic Douglas was stored sometime after 2008, but remains registered to Buffalo.

Was probably the last DC-4 freighter operated by Buffalo and was externally complete.
