This snow covered Goose is being prepared for painting by Vancouver Aero Services. Originally with the US Navy as bu 87751 August 1945 - September 1953, the amphibian was sold to the US Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management in 1954, based in Anchorage, AK. As CF-UMG, Pacific Western Airlines flew it 1966 - 68 before bought by Trans-Provincial. The airline was acquired by Harbour Air in 1993 and the Goose was sold to a leasing company. Sadly, the aircraft crashed on take-off from Seal Cove seaplane base in Prince Rupert, BC December 4, 1993.

Pacific Western Airlines of Vancouver, BC imported Grumman G-21A Goose, CF-UMG, from Alaska in August 1966. It had previously flown with the US Dept of Interior's Bureau of Land Management in Alaska as N643 and with Fleet Air Transport in 1963-1964 as N643H. In August 1968, PWA sold CF-UMG to Trans-Provincial Airlines (TPA) which had a landline base in Terrace and a seaplane base at Seal Cove in Prince Rupert. The airline's main business was servicing coastal communities and logging camps on the northern BC coast. TPA was acquired by Jim Pattison Ind. c1980 for Air BC, but remained separate.

Trans-Provincial Airlines Goose pictured in their recently revised colors; the airline reversed the red and blue of their previous scheme. Trans-Provincial ceased flying in March 1993 and the aircraft was leased to Waglisla Air from June until it crashed on take-off at Prince Rupert, BC on December 4, 1993. The wreck was salvaged and the wings used to re-build Goose N327 / cn 1051.

Heading out for a test flight after maintenance and a paint in the new Trans-Provincial color scheme, C-FUMG would be in their fleet until May 1993. Unfortunately it was destroyed December 4, 1993 after an engine failure on take-off with Waglisla Air.
