The life of this classic 747 series -100 sadly ended as N605FF, when it overran the runway at JFK in a heavy snowstorm in January 1995 and was damaged beyond repair. It is seen here returning US troops from Gulf War 1.

This Tower Air overran the runway at New York-JFK, NY on 20 December 1995 and was written off and broken up. During the take off run at JFK the crew lost directional control on the runway and aborted the take off. The Flight bound for Miami had over 450 !! passengers on board.

This aircraft was sold to TWA as N17125 in 1981, then in 1991 it was sold to Tower Air as N605FF. It was damaged beyond repair at JFK Airport on 20th December 1995

Originally with British Airways as G-AWNI and then TWA as N17125. It was damaged beyond repair in an aborted take-off incident at New York JFK 20 December 1995 when it ran off the end of the runway and the nose u/c collapsed.
