Delivered to the USAAF as 44-76969 then to the RAAF as A65-109 in 1945. To MacRobertson Miller Airlines as VH-MMD in 1958 then to Ansett PNG in 1969, Air Niugini as P2-MMD in 1974 and reregistered as P2-ANU in 1975. To Travmar as VH-MMD in 1977. Withdrawn from use at Bankstown in 1980 and stored at the Australian Aviation Museum. Still there in 2013. No longer there on the satellite image in 2022.

Transferred to Ansett's Papua New Guinea subsidiary and became P2-MMD on independence. Reregistered P2-ANU, it returned to Australia in 1977 and resumed its old registration. Withdrawn from use in 1980.

A friend of my son David took this photograph and we cannot remember who. It is a great shot. VH-MMD stayed in Papua New Guinea after independence, becoming first P2-MMD than P2-ANU. It returned to Australia as VH-MMD in 1977

VH-MMD shown after it returned from Papua New Guinea in 1977 where it had been P2-ANU. It had also been VH-MMD from 1958 to 1974 It was withdrawn from use in 1980.
