ACES Colombia's first jet airplane has retired and preserved in Medellin in August 1993. First in a park near the Olaya Herrera airport, but moved to Parque Norte in 2007. Now Parque Norte is an amusement park with rides and activities for childeren. Admission to the park without access to the rides is 5000 Pesos for adults, just a little over 1 USD or 1 Euro. The Boeing 727 used to be visable from the Metroline, but the trees have grown, and now block the view.

Originaly delivered to Eastern in 1965, transferred to ACES Colombia in the mid eighties. Preserved at Aeroparque Juan Pablo II in August 1993. This parque is just across the runway of the Olaya Herrera airport in Medellin, Colombia. In 2007 the airframe was moved through the city to Parque Norte. At first the airplane was visable from the Metroline just before the stop for Busterminal North, as well as from the streets surrounding the parque. Like in this photo from 2011. But the trees have grown since and you now have to enter the park to see it. The park now also added titles to the 727.

Eastern was the first airline to introduce the 727 in February 1964. The airline took delivery of this one on May 11, 1965. In 1978, Eastern was introducing a color scheme with a bare metal crown and N8130N sports a radome from the new scheme. The 727 was sold to ACES Colombia (HK-2541) in March 1981; their first jet. ACES would go in to operate 20 727s, this one being retired in 1993 and put on display at Medellin Metroparque.
