Sold to AAR Corp as N440DS and stored at Marana from January 1988. Bought by the Hughes Aircraft Co in March 1989 and registered N7381 in February 1990 for use as an airborne infrared measurement system testbed named "Embraceable Annie". To Raytheon in April 1988 and Texas Turbine Group in September that year. Broken. up at Mojave in October 2023

Owned by Hughes Aircraft Corp. this Boeing 720 was bailed to the USAF from October 93' to January 97' for 'Star Wars' flying lab work. Was scrapped at Mojave Airport.

Delivered on 30 Nov 1962 to Ethiopian as ET-AAH. Leased to MEA on 01 Jan 1966 and returned to Ethiopian on 31 Mar 1968. Sold to AAR Corp as N330DS on 15 Dec 1987 and stored at Marana, AZ. Moved to AMARC at Davis-Monthan on 08 Aug 1989 as part of the KC-135E reengining programme. Broken up in May 1996.

Acquired by Hughes Aircraft as N440DS in 1989 and re registered. Operated as an Airborne Infrared Measurement System testbed on behalf of the US Department of Defense. Delivered new in 1965 to Ethiopian Airlines as ET-ABP "Queen of Sheba". Involved in an attempted terrorist in-flight hijacking in December 1972, when a grenade was was detonated in the rear cabin and seven hijackers were shot dead by onboard security. Despite damaged controls, the pilot made a successful emergency landing at Addis Ababa.

The 720B was the perfect choice for the high-altitude Ethiopian airports.
