Constructed as a T-6J by Canadian Car and Foundry at Fort William (Thunder Bay), Ontario. Based at Beauvais-Tille from 1980 and formerly D-FABA of the Federal Republic of Germany, Bonn from 1963-1972 and before that WGAF AA+635

This T-6J never served in the RNoAF. It started as 52-8570 with the USAF and transferred to the Luftwaffe as AA-622 in 1956. After it was struck off charge in 1966, it went to the Luftwaffenmuseum which donated it to the Norwegian Armed Forces Museum who restored and painted it to represent a Harvard Mk 2B with the fake serial number 8750 and the code M-BS. M was the type code assigned to the Harvards in the immediate post-war period. BS is the individual aircraft. The last code assigned to Harvard in service was M-BR. It is now displayed at the Norwegian Aviation Museum in Bodø.

Between 1945 and 1957, the Norwegian Air Force used this type as an advanced trainer. Although this exact frame has not served in the military, it has been painted as such.

My guide told me this T-6 was in use as an heritage flight at the time I took this picture. Note the gunpods under the wings.
