Delivered to SABENA as OO-AWS on 30 March 1949, sold to LOT in October 1957 and flew with them until sold to Westernair of Albuquerque in January 1966. Subsequently changing hands over a dozen times, it was withdrawn from use and scrapped c1984. LOT used the type on services to London from 1958 until the introduction of their newly acquired Viscounts in 1962.

This 763 was delivered to LOT in May 1997. It was leased to Air Italy from December 2005 until April 2006 and then to Santa Barbara Airlines from December 2006 until March 2007. This aircraft was damaged beyond repair at WAW on 1st November 2011 after operating LO16 from Newark (EWR) when a hydraulic hose failed and the main undercarriage would not deploy. The aircraft made a successful belly-landing with no injuries and the plane was broken up in November 2013.
