This is one of the assets that have been collected in San Damiano by the Italian Air Force, with the idea of a "Flying Museum". The aircrafts and helicopters should be preserved in a so called "flyiable condition" to be displayed also flying on future events. It landed for this final destination the day before. It was operated by the 31 Stormo for VIP transport duties. The sister airframe MM62026 will be preserved and displayed in Volandia Museum at Malpensa airport.

At the time of this photo the Falcon 50 fleet of the Italian Air Force (three aircrafts) was not yet equipped with the prominent satellite communication antenna on the top of the fin. The fleet was operated by 306th Gruppo but only the 31st Stormo badge on the fin was applied on this VIP livery.
