This was the prototype of the PD-808RM variant, built for radio navigation checking. It flew with the civil registration I-PIAY. When the Centro Radiomisure (CR- unit codes) on 1st June 1976 was incorporated in the 14° Stormo, it became the 8° Gruppo. Other than the high visibility painting, it can be noted a typical dual com/nav antenna on top of the fuselage.

Ex I-PIAY. RM version stands for Radio Misure, that refers to the aerial checking of ground stations for radio navigation, and that it was operated by the 8 Gruppo of 14 Stormo.

The Radiomisure (RM) calibration version of the PD808, only four of these were built and this one was a very welcome addition to the line-up of the event.
