At the very end of its Aer Lingus career, EI-ALA having been delivered in October 1960. The blue cheatline is leftover from a lease to Transpolar for a year from October 1970 (as LN-TUU). Previous leases were to El Al and to Braniff (N7083). Sold to Club International as N734T in October 1972, reregistered N1776Q in March 1973. Leased by Aeroamerica mid-1974 for a year, wfu and stored at Boeing Field from July 1978 and b/u November 1983

Aer Lingus entered the jet age in 1960 with the Boeing 720 which had sufficient range for its Dublin to New York and Boston flights. For a while around this time, only the name Irish International Airlines was carried on the transatlantic fleet. Photo from: Boeing
