Delivered to the US Navy as S2F-1 136465. Converted to a US2F-1. Redesignated as a US-2B in 1962. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ in 1980. Sold to Conair Aviation as C-GHDY in 1984. Converted to a Conair Firecat in 1988. Withdrawn from use at Abbotsford by 2014. Cancelled from the register in 2017. Still there in 2025.

Former US Navy Grumman S2F-1 bu 136465 was converted to a Firecat by Conair and brought on-line in 1991. Pictured stored at Abbotsford, the Canadian registration was cancelled in November 2017.

Retired and probably scrapped by now. All the Firecats were retired and a small number made it to museums. They were a very effective fire fighting aircraft for a long time but their time was up.
