Unfortunately, this beautiful aircraft would be destroyed on 10th April 2010 when it crashed on approach to Smolensk, Russia in poor visibility. All 96 people on board were killed, including Polish President Lech Kaczynski and numerous high-ranking members of the Polish Government and military.
