On 1 March 1999 the crew of this aircraft had a lucky escape after they momentarily touched down at Shannon with landing-gear still retracted. While the machine was climbing away for a circuit to land, the propeller assembly and part of No. 3 engine fell to the ground. Electrical power was lost and the only serviceable flight instruments available were the standby artificial horizon and wet compass. So as to maintain control, No. 4 engine had to be feathered and a successful landing was made with only No. 1 engine fully operative and No. 2 producing partial power. N285F was later broken up.

Despite looking a bit the worse for wear here, this Electra went on to serve with several South American operators.

Although still bearing a Nordic paint scheme, this Electra was being flown by Fred Olsen on a night SAS freight service, with handling by KLM, from whose cargo warehouse it is seen taxying for a 28L departure.

N343HA (note "3HA" on nosewheel door) was one of four former Zantop Electras acquired by Air Spray. It became C-GOIZ, but while the other three were converted to firebombers, this one never was.

Made an emergency landing at Yellowknife in March 2012 after right main gear malfunctioned. Ferried to Buffalo's maintenance base at Red Deer and converted to a firebomber. Active in 2017 as tanker #417.
