This YS-11A is the first aircraft in the Civil Aircraft Register of Aruba. Added to the registry on 17 September 1988 with Certificate of Registration number 88/001. Operator Air Aruba. It was captured 2 years later without a nose wheel and engines.

Delivered new to Toa Airways 28th March 1970 and merged into TOA Domestic May 1977, then re-branded as JAS Apr 1988. Transferred to Japan Air Commuter and became RP-C3586 10th Nov 2005, then HS-APA 19th March 2008

Delivered 05/1970 to Toa Airways, Japan, as JA8765. Re-rgd. 05/1977 to TDA - Toa Domestic Airlines and named 'Yashima'. Registered 04/1988 to JAS Japan Air System, still rgd. as JA8765. Registered 21/05/1992 as N992CL to TCA Limited, Makaha, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. Stored at Mojave 10/1992. Reg. canx. on 05/08/1993 as exported to Trinidad and Tobago. Delivered 08/1993 to Air Caribbean, Trinidad and Tobago, as 9Y-TII. Withdrawn from use 2000.

An all white YS-11 on the ramp at Rand, not even a registration number. This is 9Q-CYS, which was first noted at Rand still with a grey tail. It was later painted all white, including the spot where the registration used to be.

N912AX was among four former Airborne Express YS-11's that had been stored at FLL since being retired in 1997. The photo was taken a day before they were sold at auction by the airport authority and by the end of December 2012, all had been scrapped.

The only way I could get an angle on this interesting subject was by precariously balancing on the pitched roof of the security man's hut. D/d Southwest Air Lines 7.71 JA8778; to 9Y-TJB 9.78; took up the Burundi reg shortly before this shot in the ex-Air Caribbean colours but burnt out 3.11.01, said to be because of a stray firework

JA8771 was delivered to Japan Domestic Airlines by the end of September 1970. Mergers put the aircraft in the Toa Domestic Airlines inventory by 15 May 1971 and subsequently that of Japan Air System on 1 April 1988. JAS sent this turbo propliner on to Japan Air Commuter in April 1993.
