This Tornado made its first flight on 16 July 1987, was delivered to the Marineflieger (German Naval Aviation) on 13 October 1987 and assigned to Marinefliegergeschwader (MFG) 2. The special markings were applied for celebrating the 70th anniversary of 50°Stormo and the 65th anniversary of 155°Gruppo at Piacenza-San Damiano. The fuselage sides carry a large panther paw print, and the top of the fuselage shows a panther's head (from the badge of 155°Gruppo, the 'Black Panthers').
