The Swifts (Russian: Стрижи, romanized: Strizhi) is an aerobatic demonstration team of the Russian Air Force which was formed on 6 May 1991. The team performed at the Oulu International airshow with four MiG-29 (coded 43, 44, 46, 48) and two MiG-29UBs (coded 33, 34). Unfortunately, the c/n's of the MiGs remain unknown to me (anyone??). 48 is seen here during its landing after a late demonstration flight.

The overall light gray MiGs, with blue tails and fuselage stripes, arrived from homebase Kubinka airbase near Moscow, via Siversk air base in Russia to Oulu (Finland). Here the demonstration team is nicely lined up at the civil tarmac of Oulu. Unfortunately, the c/n's of the MiGs remain unknown to me (anyone??)

When the Polish AF took over the Czech MiG-29's they retained the Czech camouflage for a while. Even the tiger stripe on the fin remained in place. After a year or so these MiG's received the more common Polish grey colors.
