The 366th was first deployed to Phan Rang AB, and then, in October 1966, to Dan Nang AB, where the wing remained until June 1972. This Phantom was shot down by small arms fire near Tan Son Nhut in South Vietnam on 7 January 1967, while operated by the 557th TFS/12th TFW.

In 1976, the USA celebrated its Bicentennial. The F-4C that had the best serial for a special colorscheme for this occasion was 63-7676, as can be seen on this picture. The aircraft also carries two MiG-kill markings, not because this Phantom was involved in any, but because the commander of the 58th was. Unfortunately, this F-4C crashed into the Pacific Ocean off Oregon on 3 January 1989.
