The Australian Army, which had long used standard US Army camouflage, set out to find colours and patterns that better suited the Australian environment. This was the pattern used by Turbo Porters. A14-704 has been allocated to the RAAF Museum.

VH-MVR was the prototype of a four-seat aircraft to complement the two-seat Victa Airtourer trainer. The failure of Victa to win tariff protection saw it exit the aircraft industry but the Aircruiser was completed, test flown (first flight July 18, 1966) and certified. -MVR was registered in September 1967. The Aircruiser was among the assets sold by Victa to AESL in New Zealand and became the basis is the CT/4 Airtrainer. After 10 years in New Zealand as ZK-DAH, the sole Aircruiser returned to Australia and took up its former identity in 1979.

VH-MVA was the first production Airtourer. The aircraft was designed by Henry Millicer in a response to a Royal Aero Club competition for an aerobatic, two-seat Tiger Moth/Chipmunk replacement. The wooden prototype flew in 1959. The Victa company, known for its lawnmowers, offered to put an all-metal version of the aircraft into production at its factory near Bankstown airport. VH-MVA was the first of the metal aircraft and flew on December 12, 1961. It was registered in March 1963 after receiving type approval.

No airline operated Convair 990s to Australia so the smoky arrival of N5615 was greeted with much excitement by aviation enthusiasts. It was on a charter flight that commenced in Boston and included overflights of the North and South Poles and a landing at McMurdo in Antarctica. The flight was a fundraiser for the Richard E Byrd Polar Centre in Boston (hence the spelling of the aircraft name). An attempt to fly the same route in 1970 was scuttled when the US Navy, out of safety concerns, refused permission to land at McMurdo.

ZK-AVM was converted in 1962 to TEAL Super Widgeon with 260hp Continental IO-470-D engines and two-bladed variable pitch propellers. It arrived in Australia with the intention of registering it locally. But it ran into certification problems and returned to New Zealand. In 1987 it came back to Australia and was registered VH-WET. It then went on to Papua New Guinea (as P2-WET) before once again returning to New Zealand. ZK-AVM was withdrawn from use in 2000. By 2013 it was under restoration in the AvSpecs hangar at Ardmore. AT373N painted on the nose is its registration as a watercraft.

VH-MUJ had the distinction of being the lowest-powered aircraft in the London-Sydney race with its 100hp Continental O-200. Withdrawn from use in 1974, it would re-emerge earmarked for conversion to the Millicer M10-140, a modernised Airtourer with a 140hp Lycoming O-320.The aircraft owner, Lorraine MacGillivray, said some work had been carried out on the fuselage but at the time of uploading -MUJ was dismantled, its fuselage stripped and primed and for sale along with a spare wing.
