Designed by Luigi Pellarini who also designed the Transavia Airtruck amongst others. The aircraft was first flown in February 1961 however development was suspended in April 1961 in favour of the Airtourer. Dismantled and stored, initially at the Victa factory at Milperra and later for many years at Bankstown, in 2017 it was gifted to HARS for restoration and display.

VH-MVR was the prototype of a four-seat aircraft to complement the two-seat Victa Airtourer trainer. The failure of Victa to win tariff protection saw it exit the aircraft industry but the Aircruiser was completed, test flown (first flight July 18, 1966) and certified. -MVR was registered in September 1967. The Aircruiser was among the assets sold by Victa to AESL in New Zealand and became the basis is the CT/4 Airtrainer. After 10 years in New Zealand as ZK-DAH, the sole Aircruiser returned to Australia and took up its former identity in 1979.

Designed by Luigi Pellarini, the R2 was an all-metal four-seater with an American flat-four engine. The low wing had a single strut to the fuselage and a reduction in dihedral mid span. The tailplane was mounted on top of the fin and projected well ahead of it. The tailplane leading edge was swept. The tricycle undercarriage was retractable. Victa was going to build the R2 along side the Airtourer. But the project was abandoned two months after its first flight in February 1961.Now displayed at HARS, Wollongong. In 1970 it was stored in the back of a hangar at Bankstown.
