Buzzing through the canyon during Dutch F-35 (5th generation) versus F-16 (4th generation) integration test flights. J-210 is Fokker built, with line number L-208. It was delivered to the KLu on 30 January 1986 and started to fly with 315sq at Twente air base. The dual was deployed to the 148th FS at Tucson (AZ) for US based Dutch F-16 training on 3 August 2012. It returned to Europe and was stored with SABCA in Belgium on 15 December 2022. In 2023, the F-16B was prepared for flight again and was deployed to the European F-16 Training Center (EFTC) in Romania on 9 November 2023.

This 16th dual seat F-15B was built by McDonnell Douglas as TF-15A. It was delivered to the USAF on 14 September 1976 and redesignated to F-15B on 1 December 1977. It served since at base like Luke AF (AZ), Tyndall AFB (FL) and Egline AFB (FL) before it became an instructional airframe at Eglin auxilery airfield #2 in October 2000.

In its final months of operational service, this Shooting Star still enjoying a look at the active runway of Tyndall. It went to AMARC with inventory code TC1360 on 17 February 1988. To HVF West, Tucson (AZ) on 16 January 2009 and was scrapped.

The Vought YA-7F was named Strikefighter, two prototypes (70-1039 and this 71-0344) were converted from A-7D airframes. Eventually, the YA-7F was not ordered into production. The stretched, supersonic version of A-7 was powered by a Pratt & Whitney F100-220 turbofan. The A-7F was intended for the interdiction mission, but was cancelled as the F-16 was a better option. 0344 is seen here stored on the south side of Edwards.

This dual served the Florida Air National Guard. followed by the Texas ANG and the Arizona ANG, it arrived from the 195th FS at Tucson at AMARC on 12 February 2007, received inventory code FG0546. It is seen here during a live-shooting camp at Tyndall. Maybe it shot down one of the QF-100s in the back ground during this deployement.

Accepted by the USAF as a F-16A on 10 September 1982 and withdrawn from service as a F-16 ADF on 7 November 1995. In between, the aircraft was newly delivered to the 50th TFW ('HR') at Hahn air base (Germany) and was transferred to the 159th FIS at Jacksonville (FL) in early 1986. Then served the Minnesota ANG with the 179th FS before moved to AMARC with inventory code FG0337.

A small RCAF detachment, consisting out of 4x silver T-Birds and 2x CC-117s was present this cloudy day. 133573 was accepted as 21573 by the RCAF on 25 Mar'57. It was reserialled to 133573 on 10 Nov'70 and withdrawn from service by mid 2004. Stored at ATESS Mountain View up to late 2008. Then sold as C-FUPP with Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association of Tillsonburg (ON) on 25 August 2008. To Jet Aircraft Museum London (ON) 15 July 2009 in a "Red Knight" colour scheme.

This former New Zealand Air Force TA-4K Skyhawk (serial NZ6251) is owned by Draken International, a US commercial aggressor company based in Lakeland (FL). The Skyhawk still carries the roundels and green colors of its once owner, but received a new serial and large Draken markings on its tail and fuselage. The aircraft is seen here in close formation with N146EM (ex NZ6217) during an unique pass through the Sidewinder of Death Valley. Both aircraft participated in Dutch F-35A versus F-16 integration tests and were operating out of Edwards AFB (CA).

A Tucson (AZ) based Dutch F-16AM in the canyon, operating out of Edwards AFB (CA) during a F-35A system integration test deployment. J-366 is Fokker built, with line number L-229. It was delivered to the KLu on 28 Apr'87 with 315sq at Twente air base. Following a long career, it was first deployed to 306sq at Springfield (OH) for US based Dutch F-16 training in Jan'10. Then redeployed to Tucson (AZ) in Dec'10 for the same mission. On 30 Jan'23 the F-16 returned and was stored with SABCA at Gosselies (Belgium). It left for the European F-16 Training Center (EFTC) in Romania on 9 Nov'23.

This T-Bird went into storage at AMARC on 14 April 1978 following service with the Air Defense Weapons Center (ADWC). It returned to service on 12 June 1978 and was again assigned to Tyndall. In 1990 it became part of the NMUSAF Loan Program and is on display at the Southern Museum of Flight at Birmingham Int'AP (AL) since 1998.

Unfortenately, a little unsharp picture, but this F-4D, first flight on 11 Nov'66, shot down a VPAF MiG-21 over North Vietnam on 31 May'72 while deployed with the 555th TFS from RTAFB Ubon (Thailand). Great to see that years later, the MiG-killer still proudly wears the kill mark on its splitter plate. The F-4D went to AMARC with inventory number FP233 on 4 Apr'89. Departed the storage depot on 6 Jun'91, it was moved to the Nation Guard museum, Topeka (KS). Was taken-up at AMARC (poss admin only) as FP1061 on 9 April 1998 up to 16 June 2003 when it left for the Combat Air Museum, Topeka.

Equipped with a live AIM-9 Sidewinder, awaiting a live-firing mission from Tyndall during a small-sclae live-shooting camp. This Ellington based F-4D was withdrawn from use and became a GF-4D ground trainer at Sheppard AFB (TX) from 1989. In 1994 dumped at the base, but saved and donated to Hastings (NE) on 13 December 1994.

This Shooting Star of the 95th Fighter Interceptor Training Squadron was, in stead of many of its FITS friend, not moved to AMARC. It was struck of charge late 1987, fate unknown.
