Has been in storage at Prestwick for almost 3 years with 3 other Norwegian Dreamliners.

When disembarked, 892 NAS was based at RAF Leuchars. The Omega symbol shown on the tail denoted the perception when the squadron was formed that it would be the last UK fixed wing naval carrier unit. This particular aircraft performed the last catapult launch from a British aircraft carrier, taking off from HMS Ark Royal on 27 November 1978.

Entered active service with RCAF as 662 in September 1943. Became 502 with the Muscat and Oman Air Force in July 1969. Sold to a private individual in Norway in September 1972 and operated by Bergen Air Transport as LN-TVA until October 1974 when it was stored pending sale. Overhauled and sold to Norwegian Overseas Airways in August 1975. Flown to Canada in October 1975 when this photo was taken on a fuel stop at Prestwick en route to Canada, next stop Iceland. Stored as LN-TVA at Winnipeg, MB between December 1975 and sometime in 1978. Cancelled from the Norwegian register 21 May 1979 and sold as C-GTSA, later HK-2666X and HK-26666.
