PH-DCV wears a PAL sticker near the front door. It was sold in Indonesia as PK-GJN in March 1974 and was soon reregistered PK-GEB.

PK-GEB was sold in the US as N226VV in May 1986, six years after Garuda withdrew it from use.

JA8016 brought the then Japanese prime minister Eisaku Sato to Australia. It was several years before JAL started services .

Initially flown by Icelandair as N916R on lease and re-registered when bought in 1.86. Became 5N-AWE with Kabo Air in 2.88 and converted to freighter; was active with the Congo Air Force in a grey scheme as 9T-TCN in 2011

Why F-BNLD had no titles when it arrived on the regular Friday service from Paris to Tahiti is not known. UTA's DC-8 were frequently leased, usually to Air Afrique but the French military as well. It had been several months since it had come off lease to the African carrier when was seen at Sydney. In 1972 it was sold to the French air force.

This DC-8 was originally ordered by Garuda and was to be PK-GJC, but instead was delivered to KLM as PH-DCV. However, Garuda purchased the aircaft in 1974. Also registered YV-129C Viasa and N121GA with ACA Columbia It was also leased to KLM.

When Icelandair leased this aircraft in 5.82 the registration was inherited from ONA's ownership since 1980. Originally SE-DBD of SAS and became TF-FLB in 1.86. Seen here pushing back from the old stand G14
