January/61: F. Daniel Bennett, who sold it to the Air Force Museum. 1980: Flown by C-5A to Cannon AFB for display. August/88: C-5A ride to Lowry AFB, CO for the Wings Over the Rockies Museum. Restored as 39-522.

This airframe is actually a composite of parts from six aircraft. Many sections and parts are also being scratch-built using original blueprints. Airframe is identified as 44-83722 since that plane supplied the bulk of the parts, but they are adopting another parts bird, 44-85813, as their s/n.
