Delivered new to Austrian in 03.60. Sold as G-AZOV in 10.71. Bought by Far East AT in 12.72 as B-2029. Crashed near Taipei 31.07.75.

Ex Austrian Airlines OE-LAG 1960-1964. Served the RAF at RRE Pershore and RAE Farnborough. Retired in 07.93.

This former Austrian Viscount was acquired by the Ministry of Technology in Oct 1964 and was used by the Royal Radar Establishment until taken on by the RAE, in whose fine attire she is seen here. Here having just arrived for attention by AT(E)L, this Viscount was originally Austrian Airlines' OE-LAG, delivered in 2.60 as "Frans Schubert". Modified with the under-belly radome for radar development work by the RRE Pershore, she will perhaps be better remembered in the later RAE "Raspberry Ripple" colours...
