Built in 2000. Went to Australia briefly in late 2013 as VH-EIG, but returned to the the US registry as N989DE again in 2014.

Had an engine failure about 20K East of the Barkly Homestead and put down on the Barkly Hwy. Towed by the Tennant Creek police to the Barkly Homestead and put in the yard at the back of it. Engine Failure was due to the oil filter stem not being lock wired in (New engine). They were quick the get the engine out and have it sent back to Archerfield QLD. On the way the engine fell off the truck and was completely destroyed. After a new engine was fitted it took off on the Barkly Highway as it could not get in to the Barkly airstrip from the road. Only a narrow track with trees on either side. It then flew to Tennant Creek and Darwin.

Pictured soon after added to the Central Mountain fleet in January. Unfortunately, the aircraft crashed in a river near the Silver Hilton Lodge north of Smithers, BC on September 12, 1992.The registration was later re-used on a Cessna 182.
