22 December 2021 saw the final test flight of the sole test Fighting Falcon of the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force). The J-066, named Orange Jumper, only recently moved from Leeuwarden air base to Volkel air base, is marked with a Volkel tail fin and the colours of the province of Brabant on the stabilizors. The Orange Jumper is seen here with eight live (yellow painted rings on the weapons) Small Diameter Bombs (SDB) underneath the wings, two training AIM-120s on the fintips as well as an ALQ pod underneath the fuselage. In the back ground two Vipers of 312sq are RTB.

Furnished with a colourful tail "70 years 312 squadron", turing to the runway in a so-called high-key landing. The squadron, named Bonzo, was established in 1951 and has a swing-wing role, giving air support to ground troops as well as air defense. The squadron has reportedly also a more secretive task, its nuclear capable. 312 started to fly with Thunderjets, swapped to Thunderstreak in 1956 and transited to Stargighter in late 1965. On 27 July 1984 the first F-16A arrived for 312sq and these be part of the squadron up to 2024 when the F-35A will make its appearance.

On 22 December 2021, the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) said goodbye to the CH-47D Chinook after near 25 years of operations with the type. The Delta workhorse is now replaced by the CH-47F MYII CAAS of which the KLu will get twenty on strength. D-667 was the final CH-47D, and is shown here during its final flight over GLV-5, (Gebied Laagvliegen, military low flying area), just before it made a tour over the Netherlands and its final landingspot Logistiek Centrum Woensdrecht (LCW, Logistical Center at Woensdrecht air base).
