Built in 1965 and here registered to rail-car manufacturer Morrison-Knudsen (logo on side). Likely in Winnipeg to visit Canadian National Railways who back then had a huge presence at Symington Yard, including repair shops. This jet supposedly went to the DRC in 2010, but was photographed derelict in S. Africa in 2019 as N942DS.

In operations with Southland Corporation who owned the 7-Eleven convenience store business and here waiting to get into the Air Canada overhaul hangar for an over-nighter. When the hangar was built in 1937 the TCA fleet consisted of Lockheed Twins so the door opening provided lots of clearance for those and the later DC-3. When nose-wheel types came along, they had to make the contraption seen attached to the nose leg in order to elevate the front so the tails would fit under the doorway.

Built in 1966 and here registered to Ward School Bus Manufacturing. No further details found. The hangar behind with the brick chimney is the second that Trans Canada Airlines built and it went up in 1941. At the photo date it was being used for line maintenance, while Viscount overhauls were carried out in the 1937 hangar.

Seen one day after it was registered to La Ronge after import from Australia so likely on delivery ferry here. On 2 April 2009 it was wrecked on take-off at La Ronge/SK.

The ice and snow plus the steam billowing from the buildings behind gives some idea of how bitterly cold it was. Not exactly holiday weather so this Bellanca was probably here as crew ferry for a pilot who had just delivered an Aeronca for import into Canada. Sadly it was later destroyed after an in-flight fire at Gatesville/TX on 17 July 1985.

This brand new Cessna had just been ferried up from the Wichita factory and got caught in an overnight dusting of snow. Here being taxied to the hangar for import inspection, after which it was registered to BACM Construction Ltd. of Winnipeg. Crashed in unknown circumstances at Deer Lake, Ontario on 24 March 1980 whilst operating with Tomahawk Airways.

Registered to Samuel Hashman who was the president of Great West International and here waiting to get into the Air Canada Viscount overhaul hangar for an over-nighter. The hangar was built in 1937 when those doors would have seemed like a marvel of engineering. The lower section slides up behind the upper section then the whole thing pivots outward. There was an individual electrical button for each segment which was pressed to start the whirring and rumbling as they opened.

Built in 1971 and here registered to Genuine Parts Co., it was cancelled from the register as N125CM in 1995. This was made in the period when the aircraft was marketed as the Beechcraft-Hawker BH125, hence the registration suffix.

Built in 1957 and here registered to Snedigar Flying Service of Rapid City/SD. Struck trees and wrecked during emergency landing at Lone Rock/WI as N80CB on 4 May 1993. Here "Winterpeg" lived up to its name to greet three Twin Beech (others were N354T and N164F also from SD) with an early snowfall. They were probably taking hunters up north for elk or moose as was quite common back then.
