Built for USAAF as C-60A 43-16437. Civilianised as a model 18-56 in 1951. Converted by Howard Aero to their model 250 in 1963.

Converted from USAAF C-60A (Lockheed 18-56) 42-56011 by BACC (Howard successor) including replacing the tailwheel by tricycle undercarriage.

Built in June 1943 for USAAF as C-60A 42-56026, serving until 1946 when civilianised. Converted by Lear Inc to Learstar I by December 1955 and to D-CAFU in March 1956. Returned to Lear in September 1961 as N511L. Owned by Friedrich Krupp.

Lockheed 18 delivered to US Navy as R5O-3 Bu01006 in May 1941. Retired in 1950 and used as a civil executive aircraft. Modified in 1962 to Howard 250 standard.

Early production Lodestar delivered to Regie Air Afrique as F-ARTG in April 1940, later serving Air France. Returned to the USA in 1953 and had many owners until 1983. Fate unknown.

Delivered to TCA in January 1941. Converted to Model 18-08A in January 1942. Sold to Imperial Oil on 1 October 1949. Later to N655KC. Image in flight over the Greater Halifax area with RCN Shearwater visible below the aircraft. Obtained from TCA 60 years ago.

Owned by businessman Arthur Kudner, this airframe became the first military L-18 Lodestar and the only C-56 (no suffix). It was resold on the civil market in 1945 and donated to the Travis Air Museum in 1985.

Howard 250 executive aircraft were Lockheed L-18 Lodestars fitted with various frills. The H-250 Tri-Gear was a further development with tricycle landing gear.
