This Orion was taken on charge by the Australian Air Force on 17 February 1978 and delivered to RAAF Edinburgh on 26 May 1978. It was the first P-3C for the RAAF. It served down-under iup to 2017 when it finally was was delivered to the RAAF museum at Point Cook in November of that year.
