Involved in an incident at Aberdeen in June 2020, when the cockpit became wedged under the right-hand engine of Loganair's G-SAJS (E145) during maneuvring. Stored at Maastricht in July 2020.

Porter Airlines shutdown all flight operations for more than a year as a result of Covid-19 with most of its fleet of 29 Dash 8-400s parked on an inactive runway at CYTZ until operations resumed. Later this year, the airline will launch its first jet operations with a new fleet of 30 Embraer E195-E2s ordered in July 2021. All jet operations (except air ambulance flights) are banned from Toronto's downtown airport (CYTZ) so the E195-E2's must operate from CYYZ and other airports. The DHC-8-400 is seen flying over YTZ's historic 1939 terminal which was moved to allow new terminal construction.
