This aircraft has had an adventurous life. Built in 1984, it was originally D-IDBI (probably a flight test reg) before becoming N233RP with Precision Airlines, later Northwest Airlink. In 1995 it was exported to Nigeria where it became 5N-DOG. In 2007 it was exported to Australia to join the growing GAM Dornier fleet, and was registered VH-VJN on 25 June that year.

Surely the best colour scheme going around on a Harvard today? Although painted in this superb USN scheme, this aircraft was actually built as AT-6C Harvard Mk II, USAAF 41-33767, to an RAF order (EX794). It was, however, shipped straight to New Zealand in August 1943 and became NZ1051. It served with the RNZAF until 1978 when it was sold. Seen here taxying for departure from the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in.

The modern angle of attack meter looks a bit odd in this 1930s cockpit! This aircraft was built to an RAF order and became HG656. It was sent to New Zealand and became NZ527 with the RNZAF. After the war it was civilianised and became ZK-ALB and served with Mt Cook Airlines before being exported to Australia in 1971 to become VH-IAN, later VH-UTV.

Here's the characteristic gull-wing of the 'Pig'. Registered new as G-APYP on 8 Mar 60. Imported into Australia for MMA and registered VH-MMP(2) 'RMA Pilbara' on 3 Feb 64. Used for charter work. In '69 it was due to charter for Ansett Airlines of PNG, but broke down at Horn Is on the ferry flight to New Guinea. After remaining there for 5 weeks, ferried to Bankstown, then Moorabbinn. This glider was formerly D-KMAK(3), but probably only for flight testing. It was first registered in Australia on 20 September 2004 and is currently registered to an owner in Canberra, though probably based at Narromine. Note that this glider does not properly follow the rules for the display of registration markings on Australian gliders - it is acceptable not to display the nationality marks ('VH') and to not display the leading letter of the individual mark only if it begins with 'G' (i.e. 'Glider').

This is actually the third Tiger Moth (& the 5th aircraft) to carry the registration VH-RVE: the other Tigers were both old Royal Victorian Aero Club machines. This particular example was built in the UK in 1941 for the RAF as T7093. Post-war it became G-AMMX and later found its way to New Zealand as ZK-BAN, before coming to Australia for a re-build. Seen here at the Wide Bay International Airshow.

The Paradise P-1 is of Brazilian design and manufacture. It's got an all-metal structure and is powered by the ubiquitous Rotax 912 ULS of 100 hp. The LSA version was designed for the US market but this is the first one for Australia. It was on display at NATFLY 2010.
