One of two Firecats that stopped at Glasgow for fuel after flying from France en-route to Canada.

In recent years, several of the British Aerospace 146 and RJ-85 aircraft have been converted to airtankers for fire fighting. This one is a Conair design with an external tank. Originally flown by Mesaba Airlines from 1998 to 2006, the jetliner went to Cityjet in 2007 as EI-RJB until returned to the lessor in 2014. Conair did the tanker conversion in 2016 for its US subsidiary Aeroflite.

Most of the 35 Turbo Firecats were converted by Conair from ex-RCN Trackers, but this one was originally USN S-2A (S2F-1) Bu 136712. Registered C-GYQY by Conair as a Firecat (previously used on a Bristol Freighter) and delivered to the French Protection Civile at Marseille as F-WEOL. Returned for conversion to Turbo in 1993. Named "Miss T11"

Originally US Navy 136510, this Tracker was obtained by Conair for Firecat conversion. In fact, it became the first Turbo Firecat and after testing and certification, was delivered to France's Sécurité Civile as F-ZWVK - tanker 16. Later re-registered F-ZBFO, it was lost August 25, 1996 fighting a fire in Corsica. An Air Canada 787 now uses this registration.
