From the 507th ARW of the USAF's Air Reserve Command at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. On final approach to land on Runway 30 at Prestwick. The nose art is an Okies Heritage patch covering the last fifty years. It depicts the aircraft of the 507th ARW and its predecessor, the 507th TFG, flown from Tinker since 1972. A KC-135 is shown in silhouette, tailed by an F-105, an F-16 and an F-4 in formation. The red logo seen on the tanker's tail is a stylised version of the "SH" tail code carried by the fighters over the years.

Arriving r30 for overnight stop. Tail carries the code SH, probably relates to the code from yesteryear on F105 Thunder Chiefs as shown on the nose art.

Sadly written off in mid-air collision with Slingsby T-31B BGA4926 over Buno-Bonneveaux airfield on 5th May 2012.

This F-4 was previously on display on this pole at the Southern Museum of Flight in false markings as 60-1049. After refurbishment it is now back on display wearing her correct identity.
