Ex USAF 51-9252. To the French Air Force under the Mutual Assistance Program (MAP). Struck off and returned to USAF inventory. Ferried to RAF Sculthorpe, Norfolk 25 January 1978 in full FAF livery coded 314-UY. Donated to the Wealden Aviation Group and transferred by road 20 October 1978 to Hailsham, East Sussex. It was then repainted in USAF livery. Transferred by road to the Tangmere Military Aviation Museum in 1985.

NAS Point Mugu (CA) also housed the 115th Airlift Squadron of the California Air National Guard equipped with the C-130E. The base is also named Channel Islands, clarifying the tail code of this Hercules. The workhorse is stored at AMARG as since August 2011.

Painted as 43-15101, but is ex USAAF 42-93251 and Air France F-BAXG. Photo taken at the Jean-Baptiste Salis Museum when it was very cloudy using Nikon F80, ISO 100, 28-105mm, camera on a tripod using a release cable doubling the time of exposure.

Handed over to the RAF in May 1941, but remained based at Albuquerque, NM for training of RAF pilots by TWA instructors. Damaged in a landing accident in Jun 1941. Rebuilt as an RLB-30 with a solid keel (no bomb bay doors) and loaned to Consolidated for pax & cargo flights between their production plants in the USA. Operated with USAAF roundels as seen here, but reason unknown as still British-owned. Ownership transferred to Consolidated and registered to them as NL24927 on 1 Apr 1947. Sold to the Continental Can Company as an executive aircraft on 10 Nov 1948 as N1503. Became XC-CAY with PEMEX on 4 Nov 1959, then to N12905 with the Confederate Air Force in Jun 1968. Reregistered N24927 in Oct 1990 and was still flying as such by 2019.

This aircraft forms part of the American Air Museum at Duxford. It was built in 1951 and operated by the French Airforce. It was returned to the USAF in 1978 and decommisioned before being transferred to Duxford later that year.

Always one of the highlights at Leuchars Airshow was the arrival by the B-52H from the 93rd BS, part of the 917th Wing/AFRC, based at Barksdale AFB. Here, the aircraft was about to disappear from my line of sight.

91-0337 was still going strong in 1993. The aircraft was lost on 14 September 2006.
