This Hip-C was built in July 1980 and delivered to the Iraqi Army (as an armored version) as '207'. It was sent to Hungary in 1989 to be overhauled but was impounded upon completion due to the imposition of sanctions against Iraq. It was acquired by the Hungarian AF in August 1992 and operated at Szolnok until wfu with t/t 4529 h before December 2010. It was previously stored at Trenčin (LZTN) but has been bought privately and is now being restored in the Czech Republic. The owner told me that he is having difficulty sourcing engine cover panels, so can anyone help?

Just arrived by truck at its new home with Skyline Aviation. A big difference from the glass cockpits that the N(X)139LE and N(X)139LZ have. Trucked to Seppe on 12 December 2023.

Still in Hungarian Air Force colors, but acquired by civil operator Skyline Aviation and arrived by truck the day before. Built in 1978 and also ex. East-German Air Force. Sold to Hungary in the 1990's and operated by the latter until 2009. It had been stored since. Although it is meant as a parts-bird for N(X)139LE and N(X)139LZ, a restoration to flying condition hasn't been ruled out either. From what I understand, it will be checked if this wing can replace the current wing of the N139LE, due to its ability to carry fuel pods under the wings. This would increase endurance and efficiency. Trucked to Seppe on 12 December 2023.
