This nice T-Bird is preserved in the markings of CEVSV 338, which was a blind flying training unit. The real serial of this T-33 is not known, but its fin was replaced by the one from the real 16524 (that French serial derives from US serial 51-6524). The real 16524 is preserved at Châteaudun, but is carrying the fin serial "18658"! See here.

The Trident was intended to serve as an interceptor with the French Air Force, first flying in 1953. It was powered by a rocket engine plus two Mabore turbojets at the wing tips. Seen on display at the Chalais Meudon near Paris, it later moved to the museum at Le Bourget. The preserved Farman Goliath F-HMFU is suspended from the roof.
