Surprisingly, it appears that this is the first upload for the vast new Istanbul Airport, built in just four years and opened in 2018 to take over from Atatürk. Much rare traffic can be seen, more than at the old airport, particularly from Libya, Iran and controversially Russia, with some fueling companies still prepared to supply several Russian airlines carrying tourists. Thanks to sanctions meaning stolen western types are likely to be seized outside of Russia, much reliance is being placed on the homegrown SSJ, this one arriving here as WZ1903 from Stavropol and departing to Makhachkala.

Delivered new to BMI as G-MIDJ 16th July 1999 and went to Monarch as G-OZBM 14th March 2007. To AerCap leasing as VP-BRB 18th May 2018 for lease to Red Wings and arrived Goodyear 22nd Oct 2021 for storage/scrapping

Aircraft approaching Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport runway 12 descend through approx 2000 feet when crossing the beach just north of the old Jaffa district. The beach is far from perfect for good photography but good enough for some number spotting on a Saturday morning with a good cup of coffee. This Sukhoi SuperJet was delivered in white c/s according to the Soviet database, but has since been clearly painted with red wings.

RWZ8724 is pictured picking up speed on rw24 at the start of the flight back to Moscow (ZIA). This 772 was originally delivered to Emirates as A6-EMI in July 1997.
